ABOUT
Polish Film Festival in Perth is dedicated to celebrating the art of filmmaking by showcasing the best of contemporary Polish cinema.
Established in Perth over five years ago, Polish Film Festival in Perth is the only annual event dedicated to presenting Polish cinema to West Australians. The Festival presents a range of exciting, contemporary, award winning works and box office hits from renowned and up and coming filmmakers. It creates a unique opportunity for a larger West Australian audience to experience the rich Polish culture and watch film productions that screen at world’s major film festivals and win prestigious awards.
The festival is organised in Perth for the local audience. Festival programme is created with key principles in mind, focusing on showcasing films that are of a high artistic and production standard, critically acclaimed winners of national and international film festivals, and well received by audiences at home and worldwide.
The Festival is made possible by the generous support from many individuals and organisations who dedicate their time, services and funding to help bring high quality contemporary Polish films to WA audiences. Since its establishment, the Festival has been supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney and Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Polish Film Institute and many Australian and Polish organisations.
